I always feel a little sad after coming down from a great adventure. I spent the past week in Isla Mujeres, Mexico with a lot of awesome friends and artists. We were performing at the Island Time Music Fest and Fishing Tournament, a fundraiser for The Little Yellow Schoolhouse. LYSH is a school for the local special needs children on the island, and it is kept open solely from what the festival makes every year. This was my second year back, but it's the first year that I actually got to tour the school and meet some of the students. That made it so much more real to me. It's such a great cause and it's so important to raise this money so that these sweet kids get the extra care and education that they wouldn't otherwise. I was so moved this week and truly sad to leave. I wanted to share my experience and some pictures from the week in this magical place. If you want to be involved, visit www.islandtimemusicfest.com!
